Peter Long is our litigation partner and was admitted as a solicitor in 1978. Since then, he has gained all-round litigation experience, dealing with matters ranging from serious fraud cases to general civil litigation and including insolvency, partnership disputes, and building disputes.
Peter was also admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institutes of Arbitrators in 1988, and from 1990 he has received appointments from the Law Society and the British Medical Council, principally relating to partnership disputes but also dealing with commercial contract disputes. Subsequently, in 1989, he was admitted by the ADR group as a mediator and has been trained to undertake commercial and personal disputes with a view to resolving them in the hope that the parties’ costs can be minimised.
In December 2000, he graduated from Reading University having obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in estate management. This provided him with a full understanding of the construction industry and, in particular, the construction of commercial and residential property. In addition, he has a full understanding of related disputes and is fully aware of the building contracts that are in place.
Licensed by the facility office to be a member of the notary office.
